There are many different boats on the market, both production and custom that don’t cover all the facets required of the most discerning captain, crew or owner. This is no longer the situation with the TRADITION 56.

More than a year was spent in the design and planning process, in association with Oceanic Yacht Design, and master boat builder Dick Ward, to produce a vessel that can deliver the best possible performance, ride and fuel efficiency possible. Constructed from DIAB composite core in epoxy using resin infusion of the hull, deck and house for reduction in weight and increased strength over conventional hand laminates.

The luxurious and practical interior is fully air conditioned and features a large salon with galley and dinette up, 2 master staterooms with ensuites, plus crew accomodation and a washer dryer. The extended salon uses bow space for fender and rope storage, washdown hose and storage for two liferafts as well as producing a clean and sleek foredeck.

The centerpiece of the design - the cockpit and mezzanine ( where you spend most of your time while at sea ) - have been designed to allow the guests to relax in a shaded environment, close to the action , but not in a position that makes the crew ask you to move so that they can get into the huge freezers, or get another bait out of the refridgerated built in bait box. The crew are able to converse with the clients and guests whilst still having a dedicated rigging station and wash down at their fingertips.

Fishing hardware is provided by the world leaders : Scopinich’s custom offset Tuna chair for heavy tackle fishing, 2 Scopinich Ultra helm chairs, Lees custom 35’ heavy duty triple spreader outriggers and swivel rodholders. For the captain, the tall Black Marlin tower features a custom dash for 3 large screens, all radios and controls, as well as a storage box for a wash down hose and storage. Got to have your lunch box and jacket somewhere!!!

With a rounded and lifting transom design increased maneuverability incorporated into the innovative cockpit design, this is the most practical offshore platform ever built.

The large bridge features a custom Palm Beach style helm pod, large dash for 3 x 15” electronics screens and large couches for a nap. Large storage spaces and an additonal huge freezer can be accomodated if required.

The TRADITON 56 is built to USL 2B and the new AS4132 survey requirements with all ship systems chosen based on years of practical knowledge and experience where an average year involves over 1500 engine hours and more than10,000 nm at sea. With redundancy incorporated where required for ease of use and peace of mind when down time is not an option!!

Designed for use with either 1015 hp CAT C18’s for a design speed of 38 knots or 825 hp MTU Series 60’s a top end of 35 knots. The boat also has twin 17.5KW Onan gensets for full time power requirements. Fuel capacity of 5000 liters gives a massive range and flexibility for open ocean passages.
